Alpine Cycles was the trademark for the house brand frames sold by Georgetown Cycle Sports (GCS). They were located in the Washington D.C. area during the 1970's and 80's. They used the distinctive red and white Swiss cross for their logo with ALPINE CYCLES at the top and WASHINGTON D.C. at the bottom. Many of the early Alpine frames from the mid 70's were made by a variety of British builders. Some frames were built in the D.C. area by people affiliated with GCS.
